I am a recent masters graduate from architecture at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Bought up in Sri Lanka, I moved to Scotland where I attended a local primary school and then St Peter the Apostle, Glasgow for secondary school. Been exposed to traditional design methods used in Sri Lanka and having the opportunity to experience contemporary design methods in Scotland have helped to create a keen interest in architecture, which led me onto studying architecture at university. My final years at university was spent on the Orkney masters project, where I designed an Orcaidan food lab & production facility. This design was fully centred on providing jobs to the local families and helping the current economy thrive using sustainable materials.
