These projects are developed individually by students over the course of two years or four university semesters.

Studio Project:

The first semester focuses on selecting a project brief that is closely related to their group research. Students then develop their individual projects to a conceptual level taking the project from its initial brief to a realized concept design in the second semester. During the third semester, students continue to refine their work, developing it to an increasing level of design maturity and technical proficiency, culminating in a fully detailed and realized design.

Thesis Project:

In the final semester of the course, students embark on creating their ‘detailed proposition’. This is an exploratory piece of work, where students choose to investigate and reflect upon a topic that is of the students choice. The project can be in response to a specific part of their master's project or an investigation into another interest or topic within the field.
