Coming to study at RGU, Aberdeen I wanted to learn how to control our environment. I was always intrigued by the architects ability, or even chance to create a long-lasting works of art that express their beliefs and are accessable to everyone on the streets to enjoy, free from the constraints of a gallery. Looking back at my masters project probably the main reason for my proposal would be the desire to create a project that would not only fit within the local built environment but also economy. Designed for maximum durability and thus major carbon footprint, it will reduce the overall CO2 emission caused by seafare overtime - a long ecological investment. The source of this decision is my architectural philosophy of when you need to do something, make sure you will have to do it once.
