Over the past three years Unit 3 has focused on Scotland's beautiful Orkney islands, as part of RGUs move to develop links with the islands through a range of disciplines. This island focus has provided students with the opportunity to consider the existing conditions on the island and speculate on Orkney's future with regard to the effects of Tourism, Changing population demographics and Climate Change. Resulting in the production of work that has considered and responds to genuine issues which impact the day to day lives of the people of Orkney.
